Hurricane causes Expansion of Shrine's Mission

Fr. Tony Rigoli, OMI, continues the tradition that has made St.

Jude’s Shrine bordering New Orleans’ French Quarter a

center ministering to both soul and body. Since hurricane Katrina,

the parish center not only houses the soup kitchen to

feed the hungry, but also serves as a shelter for homeless

women. The Shrine also serves as a base of operations for students

from around the country who come to New Orleans to help rebuild the city. Fr.
